Is StogieVault free to use? +

Yes — StogieVault is completely free. There are no subscription fees, no paywalled features, and no limits on how many cigars, humidors, or photos you can add.

Do I need to install anything? +

No. StogieVault is entirely web-based. Open it in any modern browser — desktop, tablet, or phone — and your collection is always with you, always up to date.

Is my data private? +

Absolutely. Your vault is only visible to you. The only exception is if you explicitly enable the public sharing feature on a specific humidor or your full vault — which generates a unique link that you control and can disable at any time.

What information can I track per cigar? +

Brand, line/series, vitola, country of origin, wrapper type, strength, quantity, price paid, purchase date, box code, storage location, humidor, tasting notes, star rating, and multiple photos. Fill in as many or as few fields as you like.

Can I organise my cigars into humidors? +

Yes. Create as many named humidors as you like and move cigars between them freely. Each humidor has its own dedicated view, a live count badge, and can be shared independently via its own public URL.

How does sharing work? +

In the sidebar, select any humidor and toggle sharing on. A permanent public URL is generated instantly. Anyone with the link can browse that humidor — no account required. You can disable sharing at any time.

Can I import my existing collection? +

Yes. StogieVault accepts CSV imports with flexible column mapping — your spreadsheet columns don't need to be in any particular order. You can also export your full collection or just your wishlist to CSV or JSON at any time.

What are humidor archives and the ashtray? +

When you finish a cigar you can archive it to keep a record, or send it to the Ashtray — your permanent log of every stick you've smoked. Both are searchable and can be restored to your active vault if needed.

Can I sort and search my collection? +

Yes. Search by any field — brand, country, vitola, notes, and more. Sort by brand, country, date added, rating, or quantity. In list view, click any column header to sort. Use bulk selection to move, archive, or delete multiple cigars at once.

Can I add photos of my cigars? +

Yes. Each cigar supports multiple photos — upload shots of the cigar itself, the band, the box, or the ash. Photos move with your cigar when you transfer it between humidors.
